AL AA鱈A (THE SUPREME)
(Revealed at Mecca - contains 19 verses - 1 section)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious,
the Most Merciful
Section 1
[Aa値a 87:1] Proclaim the Purity of the your Lord, the Supreme. [Aa値a 87:2] The One Who created, and then made proper. [Aa値a 87:3] And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. [Aa値a 87:4] The One Who produced pasture. [Aa値a 87:5] Then made it dry and dark. [Aa値a 87:6] We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed - peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. [Aa値a 87:7] Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. [Aa値a 87:8] And We shall create the means of ease for you. [Aa値a 87:9] Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. [Aa値a 87:10] Soon whoever fears will heed advice. [Aa値a 87:11] And the most wicked will stay away from it. [Aa値a 87:12] The one who will enter the biggest fire. [Aa値a 87:13] Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. [Aa値a 87:14] Indeed successful is the one who became pure. [Aa値a 87:15] And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. [Aa値a 87:16] But rather you prefer the life of this world! [Aa値a 87:17] Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. [Aa値a 87:18] Indeed this is in the former scriptures. [Aa値a 87:19] In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa.
