Allah in the name of the most Affectionate the Merciful. | بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ |
1. Undoubtedly, there has come to you the news of a calamity that shall over spread. | 1. هَلْ اَتٰىكَ حَدِیْثُ الْغَاشِیَةِؕ۱ |
2. Many faces on that day shall be cast down. | 2. وُجُوْهٌ یَّوْمَىِٕذٍ خَاشِعَةٌۙ۲ |
3. Toiling, labouring hard; | 3. عَامِلَةٌ نَّاصِبَةٌۙ۳ |
4. They shall enter a blazing fire; | 4. تَصْلٰى نَارًا حَامِیَةًۙ۴ |
5. They are made to drink of a spring fiercely boiling. | 5. تُسْقٰى مِنْ عَیْنٍ اٰنِیَةٍؕ۵ |
6. They will have no food, but fire thorns. | 6. لَیْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ اِلَّا مِنْ ضَرِیْعٍۙ۶ |
7. which will neither fatten nor avail against hunger. | 7. لَّا یُسْمِنُ وَ لَا یُغْنِیْ مِنْ جُوْعٍؕ۷ |
8. Many faces on that day are in pleasure. | 8. وُجُوْهٌ یَّوْمَىِٕذٍ نَّاعِمَةٌۙ۸ |
9. Pleased with their endeavour; | 9. لِّسَعْیِهَا رَاضِیَةٌۙ۹ |
10. In a lofty garden. | 10. فِیْ جَنَّةٍ عَالِیَةٍۙ۱۰ |
11. Wherein they will hear no vain talk. | 11. لَّا تَسْمَعُ فِیْهَا لَاغِیَةًؕ۱۱ |
12. Therein is a running spring, | 12. فِیْهَا عَیْنٌ جَارِیَةٌۘ۱۲ |
13. Therein are uplifted couches. | 13. فِیْهَا سُرُرٌ مَّرْفُوْعَةٌۙ۱۳ |
14. And arranged goblets. | 14. وَّ اَكْوَابٌ مَّوْضُوْعَةٌۙ۱۴ |
15. And carpets spread out symmetrically. | 15. وَّ نَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوْفَةٌۙ۱۵ |
16. And large white cloths spread over. | 16. وَّ زَرَابِیُّ مَبْثُوْثَةٌؕ۱۶ |
17. Do they not look at the camel, how created? | 17. اَفَلَا یَنْظُرُوْنَ اِلَى الْاِبِلِ كَیْفَ خُلِقَتْٙ۱۷ |
18. And at the heaven, how it has been raised high? | 18. وَ اِلَى السَّمَآءِ كَیْفَ رُفِعَتْٙ۱۸ |
19. And at the mountains, how they have been set up? | 19. وَ اِلَى الْجِبَالِ كَیْفَ نُصِبَتْٙ۱۹ |
20. And at the earth, how it has been spread out? | 20. وَ اِلَى الْاَرْضِ كَیْفَ سُطِحَتْٙ۲۰ |
21. Admonish you then; you are but an admonisher. | 21. فَذَكِّرْ١ؕ۫ اِنَّمَاۤ اَنْتَ مُذَكِّرٌؕ۲۱ |
22. You are not superintendent over them. | 22. لَسْتَ عَلَیْهِمْ بِمُصَۜیْطِرٍۙ۲۲ |
23. But whoever turns away and disbelieves, | 23. اِلَّا مَنْ تَوَلّٰى وَ كَفَرَۙ۲۳ |
24. Allah will torment him with great torment. | 24. فَیُعَذِّبُهُ اللّٰهُ الْعَذَابَ الْاَكْبَرَؕ۲۴ |
25. Undoubtedly, they are to return to Us. | 25. اِنَّ اِلَیْنَاۤ اِیَابَهُمْۙ۲۵ |
26. Then, undoubtedly, it is for Us to take their account. | 26. ثُمَّ اِنَّ عَلَیْنَا حِسَابَهُمْ۠۲۶ |
