Allah in the name of the most Affectionate the Merciful.

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

1. I call to swear by the Day of Resurrection.

1. لَاۤ اُقْسِمُ بِیَوْمِ الْقِیٰمَةِۙ۝۱

2. And I do swear by the self-blaming soul.

2. وَ لَاۤ اُقْسِمُ بِالنَّفْسِ اللَّوَّامَةِؕ۝۲

3. Does man think that We shall not assemble his bones?

3. اَیَحْسَبُ الْاِنْسَانُ اَلَّنْ نَّجْمَعَ عِظَامَهٗؕ۝۳

4. Why not, We are powerful to restore his very fingertips.

4. بَلٰى قٰدِرِیْنَ عَلٰۤى اَنْ نُّسَوِّیَ بَنَانَهٗ۝۴

5. But man desires to do wrong infront of him.

5. بَلْ یُرِیْدُ الْاِنْسَانُ لِیَفْجُرَ اَمَامَهٗۚ۝۵

6. He asks, when will be the Day of Resurrection?

6. یَسْـَٔلُ اَیَّانَ یَوْمُ الْقِیٰمَةِؕ۝۶

7. But when the eyes is dazzled.

7. فَاِذَا بَرِقَ الْبَصَرُۙ۝۷

8. And the moon is eclipsed.

8. وَ خَسَفَ الْقَمَرُۙ۝۸

9. And the sun and the moon will be joined together.

9. وَ جُمِعَ الشَّمْسُ وَ الْقَمَرُۙ۝۹

10. On that day the man will say, where is place to run away to?

10. یَقُوْلُ الْاِنْسَانُ یَوْمَىِٕذٍ اَیْنَ الْمَفَرُّۚ۝۱۰

11. Never, there is no refuge.

11. كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَؕ۝۱۱

12. On that day, one is to take towards your Lord alone.

12. اِلٰى رَبِّكَ یَوْمَىِٕذِ اِ۟لْمُسْتَقَرُّؕ۝۱۲

13. That day man shall be informed as to what he has sent forward and what he left behind.

13. یُنَبَّؤُا الْاِنْسَانُ یَوْمَىِٕذٍۭ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَ اَخَّرَؕ۝۱۳

14. But rather man has complete sight over his own condition.

14. بَلِ الْاِنْسَانُ عَلٰى نَفْسِهٖ بَصِیْرَةٌۙ۝۱۴

15. And if he brings all excuses he has, even then he will not be heard.

15. وَّ لَوْ اَلْقٰى مَعَاذِیْرَهٗؕ۝۱۵

16. Move not your tongue with Quran that you may hasten to learn it.

16. لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهٖ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهٖؕ۝۱۶

17. Undoubtedly, it is upon Us to preserve it and to recite.

17. اِنَّ عَلَیْنَا جَمْعَهٗ وَ قُرْاٰنَهٗۚۖ۝۱۷

18. So, when We have already recited it follow then its recital.

18. فَاِذَا قَرَاْنٰهُ فَاتَّبِعْ قُرْاٰنَهٗۚ۝۱۸

19. Then it is upon Us, to make clear its minute details.

19. ثُمَّ اِنَّ عَلَیْنَا بَیَانَهٗؕ۝۱۹

20. Nothing, rather you O infidels! love near life.

20. كَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّوْنَ الْعَاجِلَةَۙ۝۲۰

21. And you have already neglected the Hereafter.

21. وَ تَذَرُوْنَ الْاٰخِرَةَؕ۝۲۱

22. Some faces on that day will be fresh.

22. وُجُوْهٌ یَّوْمَىِٕذٍ نَّاضِرَةٌۙ۝۲۲

23. Looking towards their Lord.

23. اِلٰى رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌۚ۝۲۳

24. And some faces that day will be sad and dismal.

24. وَ وُجُوْهٌ یَّوْمَىِٕذٍۭ بَاسِرَةٌۙ۝۲۴

25. Thinking that back-breaking calamity will befall them.

25. تَظُنُّ اَنْ یُّفْعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌؕ۝۲۵

26. Yes, when it will reach to the throat.

26. كَلَّاۤ اِذَا بَلَغَتِ التَّرَاقِیَۙ۝۲۶

27. And it will be said, Is there any one who may exorcise?

27. وَ قِیْلَ مَنْ١ٚ رَاقٍۙ۝۲۷

28. And he (the dying man) will think that it is the hour of parting.

28. وَّ ظَنَّ اَنَّهُ الْفِرَاقُۙ۝۲۸

29. And shank will intertwined with shank.

29. وَ الْتَفَّتِ السَّاقُ بِالسَّاقِۙ۝۲۹

30. The drive that day is towards your Lord.

30. اِلٰى رَبِّكَ یَوْمَىِٕذِ اِ۟لْمَسَاقُ٢ؕ۠۝۳۰

31. For neither he accepted the truth nor offered prayers.

31. فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَ لَا صَلّٰىۙ۝۳۱

32. Yes, he belied and turned his face.

32. وَ لٰكِنْ كَذَّبَ وَ تَوَلّٰىۙ۝۳۲

33. Then he departed to his home arrogantly.

33. ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ اِلٰۤى اَهْلِهٖ یَتَمَطّٰىؕ۝۳۳

34. Woe is near to you, now woe is near.

34. اَوْلٰى لَكَ فَاَوْلٰىۙ۝۳۴

35. Again, woe is near to you, now woe is near.

35. ثُمَّ اَوْلٰى لَكَ فَاَوْلٰىؕ۝۳۵

36. Does man think that he will be left free?

36. اَیَحْسَبُ الْاِنْسَانُ اَنْ یُّتْرَكَ سُدًىؕ۝۳۶

37. Was he not a sperm of emission emitted?

37. اَلَمْ یَكُ نُطْفَةً مِّنْ مَّنِیٍّ یُّمْنٰىۙ۝۳۷

38. Then he became a clot, and then He created him and perfected him.

38. ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوّٰىۙ۝۳۸

39. And then He made of him a pair. The male and female

39. فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ الزَّوْجَیْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَ الْاُنْثٰىؕ۝۳۹

40. Would the One who has done all these things be not able to give life to the dead?

40. اَلَیْسَ ذٰلِكَ بِقٰدِرٍ عَلٰۤى اَنْ یُّحْیَِۧ الْمَوْتٰى۠۝۴۰
