Allah in the name of the most Affectionate the Merciful. | بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ |
1. That inevitable truth. | 1. اَلْحَآقَّةُۙ۱ |
2. How is that inevitable truth? | 2. مَا الْحَآقَّةُۚ۲ |
3. And what did you know how is that inevitable? | 3. وَ مَاۤ اَدْرٰىكَ مَا الْحَآقَّةُؕ۳ |
4. Thamud and Aad belied that strong calamity. | 4. كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُوْدُ وَ عَادٌۢ بِالْقَارِعَةِ۴ |
5. Then as for Thamud they were destroyed with an extreme uproar. | 5. فَاَمَّا ثَمُوْدُ فَاُهْلِكُوْا بِالطَّاغِیَةِ۵ |
6. And as for Aad, they were destroyed by a fierce roaring windstorm. | 6. وَ اَمَّا عَادٌ فَاُهْلِكُوْا بِرِیْحٍ صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِیَةٍۙ۶ |
7. Which He subjected them forcefully for seven nights and eight days consecutively, then see those people in it lying down, as though they were trunks of palm-trees lying down. | 7. سَخَّرَهَا عَلَیْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَیَالٍ وَّ ثَمٰنِیَةَ اَیَّامٍ١ۙ حُسُوْمًا١ۙ فَتَرَى الْقَوْمَ فِیْهَا صَرْعٰى١ۙ كَاَنَّهُمْ اَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِیَةٍۚ۷ |
8. Do you see any remnant of them? | 8. فَهَلْ تَرٰى لَهُمْ مِّنْۢ بَاقِیَةٍ۸ |
9. And Firawn and those before him, and the overthrown towns committed error. | 9. وَ جَآءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَ مَنْ قَبْلَهٗ وَ الْمُؤْتَفِكٰتُ بِالْخَاطِئَةِۚ۹ |
10. And they disobeyed the Messenger of their Lord; therefore, He seized them with a strong seizing. | 10. فَعَصَوْا رَسُوْلَ رَبِّهِمْ فَاَخَذَهُمْ اَخْذَةً رَّابِیَةً۱۰ |
11. Undoubtedly, when the water rose high, We bore you in the boat. | 11. اِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَا الْمَآءُ حَمَلْنٰكُمْ فِی الْجَارِیَةِۙ۱۱ |
12. That We might make it a reminder for you and it might be retained by the ears that retain after hearing. | 12. لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةً وَّ تَعِیَهَاۤ اُذُنٌ وَّاعِیَةٌ۱۲ |
13. Then when the trumpet is blown instantly. | 13. فَاِذَا نُفِخَ فِی الصُّوْرِ نَفْخَةٌ وَّاحِدَةٌۙ۱۳ |
14. And the earth and the mountains are being crushed after lifting up all at once. | 14. وَّ حُمِلَتِ الْاَرْضُ وَ الْجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةً وَّاحِدَةًۙ۱۴ |
15. That is the day when will happen the inevitable event. | 15. فَیَوْمَىِٕذٍ وَّقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُۙ۱۵ |
16. And the heaven will cleave as-under, then on the day it will be in a miserable condition. | 16. وَ انْشَقَّتِ السَّمَآءُ فَهِیَ یَوْمَىِٕذٍ وَّاهِیَةٌۙ۱۶ |
17. And the angels will be standing on the sides thereof, and on that day, the eight angles will bear over them the throne of your Lord. | 17. وَّ الْمَلَكُ عَلٰۤى اَرْجَآىِٕهَا١ؕ وَ یَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ یَوْمَىِٕذٍ ثَمٰنِیَةٌؕ۱۷ |
18. On that day, you all shall be presented and no hiding soul shall remain hidden. | 18. یَوْمَىِٕذٍ تُعْرَضُوْنَ لَا تَخْفٰى مِنْكُمْ خَافِیَةٌ۱۸ |
19. Then as to him, whose record shall be given in his right hand, he will say, 'take and read my record'. | 19. فَاَمَّا مَنْ اُوْتِیَ كِتٰبَهٗ بِیَمِیْنِهٖ١ۙ فَیَقُوْلُ هَآؤُمُ اقْرَءُوْا كِتٰبِیَهْۚ۱۹ |
20. I was convinced that I would reach to my accounting. | 20. اِنِّیْ ظَنَنْتُ اَنِّیْ مُلٰقٍ حِسَابِیَهْۚ۲۰ |
21. Therefore, he is in his desired comfort. | 21. فَهُوَ فِیْ عِیْشَةٍ رَّاضِیَةٍۙ۲۱ |
22. In a lofty Garden. | 22. فِیْ جَنَّةٍ عَالِیَةٍۙ۲۲ |
23. Its clusters are within reach. | 23. قُطُوْفُهَا دَانِیَةٌ۲۳ |
24. Eat and drink a content full recompense for that you sent forth in the days gone by. | 24. كُلُوْا وَ اشْرَبُوْا هَنِیْٓـًٔۢا بِمَاۤ اَسْلَفْتُمْ فِی الْاَیَّامِ الْخَالِیَةِ۲۴ |
25. And as for him whose record shall be given in his left hand, he will say, 'oh would that, I had not been given my record! | 25. وَ اَمَّا مَنْ اُوْتِیَ كِتٰبَهٗ بِشِمَالِهٖ١ۙ۬ فَیَقُوْلُ یٰلَیْتَنِیْ لَمْ اُوْتَ كِتٰبِیَهْۚ۲۵ |
26. And I would not have known what is my reckoning. | 26. وَ لَمْ اَدْرِ مَا حِسَابِیَهْۚ۲۶ |
27. Oh, would that death had made an end of me. | 27. یٰلَیْتَهَا كَانَتِ الْقَاضِیَةَۚ۲۷ |
28. My wealth has availed me nothing. | 28. مَاۤ اَغْنٰى عَنِّیْ مَالِیَهْۚ۲۸ |
29. My all strength has gone from me. | 29. هَلَكَ عَنِّیْ سُلْطٰنِیَهْۚ۲۹ |
30. Seize him and put chains in his neck. | 30. خُذُوْهُ فَغُلُّوْهُۙ۳۰ |
31. Then cast him into blowing fire. | 31. ثُمَّ الْجَحِیْمَ صَلُّوْهُۙ۳۱ |
32. Then thrust him in a chain the length of which is seventy cubits. | 32. ثُمَّ فِیْ سِلْسِلَةٍ ذَرْعُهَا سَبْعُوْنَ ذِرَاعًا فَاسْلُكُوْهُؕ۳۲ |
33. Undoubtedly, he did not believe in Allah the Great. | 33. اِنَّهٗ كَانَ لَا یُؤْمِنُ بِاللّٰهِ الْعَظِیْمِۙ۳۳ |
34. And he did not urge the feeding of the needy. | 34. وَ لَا یَحُضُّ عَلٰى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِیْنِؕ۳۴ |
35. Therefore, he today has no friend here. | 35. فَلَیْسَ لَهُ الْیَوْمَ هٰهُنَا حَمِیْمٌۙ۳۵ |
36. Nor any food saves pus of the people of Hell. | 36. وَّ لَا طَعَامٌ اِلَّا مِنْ غِسْلِیْنٍۙ۳۶ |
37. Which none but the sinners eat. | 37. لَّا یَاْكُلُهٗۤ اِلَّا الْخَاطِـُٔوْنَ۠۳۷ |
38. But no, I swear by what you see. | 38. فَلَاۤ اُقْسِمُ بِمَا تُبْصِرُوْنَۙ۳۸ |
39. And by all that, you see not. | 39. وَ مَا لَا تُبْصِرُوْنَۙ۳۹ |
40. Undoubtedly, this Quran is the talks with a noble Messenger. | 40. اِنَّهٗ لَقَوْلُ رَسُوْلٍ كَرِیْمٍۚۙ۴۰ |
41. And it is not the word of any poet. How little you believe! | 41. وَّ مَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَاعِرٍ١ؕ قَلِیْلًا مَّا تُؤْمِنُوْنَۙ۴۱ |
42. And it is not the word of any sooth sayer. How little you heed! | 42. وَ لَا بِقَوْلِ كَاهِنٍ١ؕ قَلِیْلًا مَّا تَذَكَّرُوْنَؕ۴۲ |
43. I have been sent down by Him who is the Lord of entire world. | 43. تَنْزِیْلٌ مِّنْ رَّبِّ الْعٰلَمِیْنَ۴۳ |
44. And if he would have said against Us even one word forging from himself. | 44. وَ لَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَیْنَا بَعْضَ الْاَقَاوِیْلِۙ۴۴ |
45. We would surely have taken revenge with full force. | 45. لَاَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِالْیَمِیْنِۙ۴۵ |
46. And then We would surely have severed his life vein. | 46. ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ الْوَتِیْنَ٘ۖ۴۶ |
47. And not any of you could have defended him. | 47. فَمَا مِنْكُمْ مِّنْ اَحَدٍ عَنْهُ حٰجِزِیْنَ۴۷ |
48. And undoubtedly; this Quran is an admonition to the God-fearing. | 48. وَ اِنَّهٗ لَتَذْكِرَةٌ لِّلْمُتَّقِیْنَ۴۸ |
49. And surely, We know that some among you are beliers. | 49. وَ اِنَّا لَنَعْلَمُ اَنَّ مِنْكُمْ مُّكَذِّبِیْنَ۴۹ |
50. And undoubtedly, it is a great sorrow to the infidels. | 50. وَ اِنَّهٗ لَحَسْرَةٌ عَلَى الْكٰفِرِیْنَ۵۰ |
51. And undoubtedly, it is the truth of absolute certainty. | 51. وَ اِنَّهٗ لَحَقُّ الْیَقِیْنِ۵۱ |
52. So O beloved prophet! glorify your Lord the Great. | 52. فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِیْمِ۠۵۲ |
